Every year, the banks of the Maschsee lake are transformed into a colourful melange filled with music and fun. You can savour the delicious culinary offerings, take a boat trip or listen to the bands to your heart’s content. The fun lasts three weeks and is a must-see if you happen to be in Hanover at the time.

Directions from GHOTEL hotel & living Hannover

The tram lines 1, 2 and 8 stop at Aegidientorplatz, Schlägerstraße, Geibelstraße, Altenbekener Damm and Döhrener tower. Choose one of these stops if you want to visit the eastern banks. All lines depart from Hanover main station, which you can reach in just a few minutes with the S-bahn line 7 or 3 from Kleefeld station, the stop nearest the hotel.

Alternatively, you can also take the tram line 4 from Kleefeld to Uhlhornstraße. From there, it’s around 7 minutes walk to Aegidientorplatz.

If you wish to go to the north shore, take line 3, 7 or 9 to the station Waterloo. These lines also leave from the main station.

During Maschsee celebrations, the special bus line 267 also runs every fifteen minutes from the stop Kröpcke, which is just a few minutes‘ walk from the main station.
